Our programmes

Two programmes, one steady path of growth.

From first separation to school readiness.

For children aged 2 to 6, WhyteHouse programmes are designed with a clear daily rhythm: care, movement, language, play, independence, and age-appropriate academic learning.

Each stage supports what children need most at that age, from learning to express their needs and live in a group, to building positive habits, early literacy, discipline, and confidence for the next stage of school.

Preschool

A balanced foundation for confident learning and primary school readiness.

In the Preschool years, children are ready for more structure, stronger language exposure, positive work habits, and deeper social learning. Our programme balances five core academic subjects with outdoor play, WE.PLAY, daily reading, homework habits, and classroom discipline.

  • Mandarin, English, Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and Science
  • Outdoor play to begin the day with ease and readiness
  • Daily individual reading to support language and word recognition
  • Positive habits in completing own daily homework
  • WE.PLAY time in the afternoon for movement, imagination, and confidence
  • Social skills through play: negotiating, compromising, and finding solutions
  • Discipline through school rules, classroom rules, and daily routines
  • Confidence to participate, complete tasks, and learn with others

Four dimensions of growth

Every routine has a purpose.

At WhyteHouse, children do not only learn through lessons. They learn through the way they play, speak, listen, move, wait, share, ask for help, complete tasks, and take care of themselves.

Our teachers plan each day to support the whole child: what they know, what they can do, how they relate to others, and how they feel about learning.

Knowledge

Children build age-appropriate understanding through language, early numeracy, science discovery, stories, routines, and hands-on experiences.

Skills

Children practise communication, listening, attention span, self-help, reading, problem-solving, task completion, and physical coordination.

Dispositions

Children develop patience, curiosity, responsibility, confidence, willingness to try, and the ability to work through challenges with guidance.

Feelings

Children need to feel safe, seen, capable, and connected. This emotional security is the foundation for learning, discipline, and independence.

What is the teacher-to-child ratio?

Our teacher-to-child ratios are adjusted according to the age group, class size, and the needs of each batch of children we accept. Younger age groups, especially children below 4 years old, are supported with smaller ratios.

Each classroom is led by a class teacher, with assistant teachers assigned based on the children's age, group readiness, class size, and campus needs. Exact ratios may vary, and our team will be happy to share the current arrangement during your visit.

Do you serve pork-free food?

Yes. We serve pork-free meals at our centres.

How does WhyteHouse prepare children for primary school?

Our programme is designed to help children transition confidently into primary school.

We focus on independence, communication, emotional regulation, classroom routines, social confidence, problem-solving, and early academic foundations. Our academic preparation connects well with different primary pathways, including Chinese primary schools, national schools, and international schools.

Do you offer half-day or full-day programmes?

Yes. Our Sungai Nibong and Alma centres offer both half-day and full-day programmes.

Our Komtar centre currently offers full-day programme only.

Can I visit before deciding?

Absolutely. We encourage families to visit before making a decision.

The best way to understand whether WhyteHouse is the right fit for your child is to step inside the school, observe the environment, and speak with our team. You may schedule a visit through our Contact page, and we will arrange a suitable time with you.

What is the enrolment process?

The enrolment process usually follows these steps:

  1. Schedule a visit.
  2. Tour the campus and understand the WhyteHouse school environment.
  3. Submit your interest to enrol.
  4. Attend a trial session arranged by the school.
  5. Complete registration and fee payment upon acceptance.

Enrolment is subject to availability. Early enquiry is recommended, especially for popular campuses or preferred intake periods.
